Pacesetter Steel Service, Inc. provides high precision steel coil slitting for material thicknesses ranging from 0.015" to 0.250", incoming coils from 6" to 61" and finished widths from 0.75" to 60". Coil slitting is used prior to metal forming operations as a method of economically cutting high volumes of steel to precise widths within +/- 0.005".
With full loop slitting and a combination of drag and roll tension stands, our slitting equipment can process 50,000 lb. coils. For quick turnaround times, the our slitters are equipped with packing lines that allow for that quick banding of slit coils up to 19" high and 12,000 lbs. Our operations are also capable of strippable applications, oiling, and cleaning through drag wipe pads.
Pacesetter Steel Service ensures the slitting process meets our customers' requirements with quality control procedures that include a Set-up and Final inspection of each coil slit which includes but is not limited to the following inspections:
